      Hi Nancy,

      You can unlink it (turn it into text with Ctrl+Shift+F9), and then sort (Table >

      Sort).

      But you can't update that TOC any more, so you'd need to delete it and repeat

      the procedure, after you make changes to the headings.

    • In addition to what Klaus has said, note that an alphabetized table of

      contents sounds more like an index. Perhaps that is what you should use?
