How do you remove space and paragraph indicator?

The space indicator looks like a dot between each word. The paragraph sign

is at every hard return. Page is too busy to look at. How do you remove

them? Using Windows XP with Word from Office Addition 2003

    • Type ctrl+*.

      There may also be a show/hide toggle on your toolbar that looks like a

      paragraph symbol.
